Do you have a life or health related
organizing tip that has helped you and want to share it with
us? E-mail your organizing tip along with your name, city,
and state. My
tip is...
Zip don't clip. Leave the scissors in the drawer when
you see an article to save. Levenger(.com) offers a one page
cutter that you can run around the recipe or info you want.
It's so fun and fast!
Pre-measure. To keep from running for measuring tape
so often, use permanent marker to make 1, 2 and 3 inch lines
on your scissors. Make accurate snips in a snap!
Do it first. If there are chores you really can't
stand get them out of the way right away. It will be over
sooner and you'll be happy you did.
Time yourself. Make a time target to spend on a certain
activity and use the timer to hold yourself to it. The competitive
human nature can be a wonderful thing!
Get hooked. Can't decide where to put things like
umbrellas, bathrobes, and extra pans? There are so many styles
and types of hooks on the market today, you can't miss finding
a winner for your need. They take up almost no room and are
so versatile.
Begin today yesterday. The time to plan for today
is the day before. Spend a few minutes each evening looking
over your schedule or to-do list to get your bearings and
prepare the things you need. This greatly cuts down on that
harried feeling and allows you to start each day with an accomplished
feeling.
Recognize free space. When you check it all off your
to-do list, don't just add more, celebrate! Go for ice cream,
bake some cookies, ride a go-cart or steal off to the library
to read in peace!
Schedule sleep. You need sacred time in which to get
your rest each night. Without this, you will never feel energized
enough to get going on improvements. Know your body clock.
Slumber and rise at the same time each morning to avoid oversleeping
to catch up.
Choose wisely. Be aware of the food you are using
to fuel your body. Get conscious of your health and nutrition
to optimize your potential.
Be dependable. Treat special event RSVPs as you would
bills or other important mailings. Be decisive about your
attendance, put the info you need on the calendar the same
day, schedule some time before the event to purchase cards
or gifts, and send or call in the RSVP within 24 hours.
